I had a great trip to Waterloo last week to visit the Communitech Hub for their open house as well as a quick stop at the Kwartzlab maker space in Kitchener and Diyode in Guelph. A big thank you to Christopher at Kwartzlab and Matt at Diyode for taking the time to show me around. These are both great places with lots of tools and therefore opportunities. It was also great to meet Ryan Consell, the artist in residence at Kwartzlab – amazing work and quite a variety of pieces! Everything from steel masks and armor to dragon skeletons.
